Teaching as a profession

genesisglobalschool :- top schools in India
In a myriad of contemporary career choices, one of the most ancient professions still hold its head high; teaching is still one of the most respectable professions in India. The teachers are the sculptors of our future society. The teachers of today are framing the personalities of future policy makers, corporates and various members of the society. However, the career challenges and lack of growth and financial returns have lately demotivated the youth to take on this socially responsible and reputable line of work.

The majority of educational institutes acquire an exploiting approach towards its staff. Besides few top schools in India none of the institutes really care about their staff. The entire cost cutting efforts are implemented on the salaries of its staff. They recruit staff on low pay and the student teacher ratio is very high. This makes it very rigorous for a teacher, and he is not able to focus on the individual growth of children. This also increases the stress level, thus, encouraging unmotivated and lethargic staff. This has caused a huge drop in the number of youngsters aspiring to become a teacher. This has also reflected on the career growth in this line, apart from the quality of education being imparted.

However, this approach is changing with increasing awareness amongst guardians and institutes; especially in the metropolis. People demand for experienced and qualified staff before enrolling their children. Hence, some of the top public schools in Noida and other metros have acknowledged the importance of well-equipped faculty. They know that the holistic growth of a student depends on the quality of education being imparted and teachers leave an impression on the future personality of their students. A teacher builds up the conduct and character of its students, by inculcating the understanding of the world, and not only curriculum. Moreover it is the approach of a faculty that popularizes these institutes amongst guardians. They entrust the teachers with the responsibility of their ward and not the institute. It is them whom they recognize personally and can connect with; so the kind of teaching staff employed reflects directly on the popularity of the institute. Hence, they are recognizing the impedance of an experienced faculty.
