Boarding schools or Day school: How to decide?

It is always a tough decision to decide the right school for your kid because nobody wants to lay the wrong foundation of them. When it comes to the development of your children, it becomes imperative that their school is good. Schools lay the foundation of behavior, ethics, attitude and education in kids. If the foundation is not strong then the entire structures come crashing down in stress.

Therefore choosing the right schools becomes even more important for parents as they don’t want their kids to struggle with elementary things in maturity stage. There is a great debate between boarding school and day school for kids. Both the types of school have their own pros but what is more important depends on the parents and the kids.

The major advantages of boarding schools in Noida are:
•Better extracurricular: Boarding schools are known to develop skill in students through extracurricular and students can be more involved as they have a lot time in their hands.
•Better learning: The average size of the batch in boarding is a lot smaller compared to day schools that allow teachers to focus more on individual student resulting in better learning.
•Social skills: students who live in boarding school have better social skills as they are constantly interacting with other people.
•Sense of responsibility: Boarding students don’t have the luxury of their parent’s supervision. They have to be responsible for everything they do or have.

However there are some benefits of sending your kids to day school:
•Cheaper: Boarding schools are much more expensive than the day schools for residence and food. Day schools are easy on pocket.
•Free of bad habits: lack of parental supervision allows kids to develop bad habits such as smoking while in day school it is less likely.
•Under supervision: The constant supervision by the parents allows them to control the unwanted behavior in the kids.
•Spare time: kids have more time in their hands which allows them to participate in other things such as family functions etc.
