The school-trip checklist for parents!

Trips are fun. Going to an unknown place, crossing new roads and meeting new people gives an experience too wonderful to be missed!

Schools understand the importance of trips and they arrange for trips and tours to give a fun-filled break to the monotonous study schedule. In India, the concept of school trips is not novel. Be it a day school in Noida or a boarding institution in Saket, the school management fixes for a number of educational as well as leisure trips.

Some schools like Noida international school even make it a routine occurrence. They make sure that trips are scheduled at least once a month-so that the kids stay youthful and lively.

But packing for school trips is one responsibility that goes straight to the parents- especially mothers! Kids are too naïve to pack for themselves and so the list of essentials is to be taken care of by their parents. If your kid is also about to go out on a trip, here’s a checklist you should consider.

•First aid kit: Bandages, antibiotic cream, pain reliever sprays and antiseptic liquid-pack enough for his entire trip and also make sure that it’s handy and can be carried on way.

•Accessories: We all know that school trips are not the best times to wear expensive jewelry. Pack only what’s required- a waterproof cheap watch for example!

•Daily items: Don’t forget to keep towels, tooth brush, tooth paste, slippers and soap- items that are too primary to be forgotten.

•MP3 player: It’s true that he’s going to be engaged with his friends and teachers, but school trips could be long and tedious and an Mp3 player could work as a savior sometimes. Make sure it’s fully charged. Also pack the charger.

And while you’re packing your kid’s bag, teach them how to pack for convenience. This would gradually develop a skillful packer in him.
