People have mixed opinions about residential schools in India. On one hand, where 89-90% people favor boarding schools, 10% guardians are still advocating their conventional ideologies when it comes to choosing a school for their children. Thus, the follow up of the blog will discuss common myths and facts about the residential schools in India.
Myth 1) Guardians send their kids to residential boarding schools either because of their behavioral concerns or they feel burdened in bringing them up because of their behavioral concerns.
Truth 1) Guardian sends their kids with the hope that once their kid will be back, he will be more organized, disciplined and would counter the challenges of life better and flexibly. It has been observed that the students who go residential schools in India are much more organized and discipline in comparison to their counterparts.
Myth 2) Boarding schools aren't very efficacious in facilitating teens for higher studies.
Truth 2) Contrary to day public schools in India, residential schools are more successful in terms of strengthening and preparing kids for college as they are endowed with opportunities to earn a degree of independence while at an early age. There’s something special about living with people who aren't really your family members and it becomes easy to learn to pick up after yourself, to fend for yourself, and simultaneously adapt in an amiable environment.
Myth 3) Residential boarding at times stifles individuality.
Truth 3) Residential boarding schools never stifles individuality, rather it builds on an individual’s personality. Majority of the students get aware of the cultural diversity at a very early age, which eventually helps them in the long term prospective.
On the whole, the aforementioned were some of the common myths and substantial truth about the residential schools in India that must be kept in mind to avoid myths and confusion.
